DJ Eliazar

DJ Eliazar is the compiler of this compilation of great tunes, and I am also the creator of this website:)  As one of the founders of Speakeasy Electro Swing in Montreal, I now also run Speakeasy Cascadia doing shows in the Northwest of America, and on the West coast of British Columbia.   After many years in Montreal I moved out to Denman Island, a small Gulf Island off the coast of Vancouver Island, to focus on becoming more self sufficient and psuhing along more music to the world at large. I still travel back and forth to Montreal for gigs pretty often, as well as travelling around the continent in general. This is the second compilation I have put together for Speakeasy - if you haven't heard the first one, grab it here

Sounds of the Speakeasy Volume 1

I have learned that folks in the Electro Swing, Electro Vintage, and Electro Blues scenes are amazingly nice and inviting, as everyone let me use their tracks on both compilations for free after a few rounds of emails.  I have been travelling the globe more and more to DJ events for folks, and have been loving the feedback I get from these adventures.  I am also a Sound Designer for Video Games and other media for my day job, and sound is my life.  You can check out the sound design company here

Nomadic Noize Productions

I have been DJing since I was 14 at my high school radio station - WDGC in Downers Grove, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, and have been on all sorts of cummunity and pirate stations ever since.  I am currently doing a weekly show you can grab podcasts of here

Under The Stars Radio Show

I have also been a nomad since I graduated from high school and have had DJ residencies all over the globe - Tocca a Te (Osaka), Ultra (Hiroshima), Heaven (Christchurch, NZ), Crush/Holocene/Aalto/Nightlight/Goodfoot (Portland, OR), Rialto (Long Beach, CA), Divan Orange/Sala Rossa/Blizzarts (Montreal QC), and gigs in places as diverse as Tokyo, Chang Mai, Punta Cana, Turks and Cacaos, Chicago, Vancouver, Bristol, Minneapolis, LA, Victoria, Berlin, Seattle, Montreal, etc, the sound has spread far and wide.

From 24 years of DJing and travelling, I believe that life just keeps getting better the older I get.  I may be twice the age of some people in the crowd when i play gigs, but I still dance as hard as any one of them:)

I also have been producing all sorts of music over the years with a variety of collaborators unde the names Eliazar, Nomadic Noize, Snowballs, EQ!, Astrid Electric, Mushroom Lounge, Stab Ability, and SkyGhost.
