Manie Gang is the resident DJ Crew of Manie Dansante, reference party concept fromRio de Janeiro that brings the fun and glamour of Vintage universe swinging with elements as Circus, Fashion, Dance, Fotography, Video and Music. Manie Gang's music set is based on ElectroSwing, Swing, ElectroBlues, New Jazz and
other Retro Beats. 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s beats mixed with the sounds of tomorrow. You can expect to hear artists and producers as Parov Stelar, Caravan Palace, C2C, Jamie Berry, Swing Republic, Slamboree and Odjbox, but also exclusive tracks and remixes made in Rio.
In 2013, Manie Gang released its debut EP: "RetroBeats Vol. 1", with 6 tracks of unreleased versions of brazilian classics as Moreira da Silva e Dalva de Oliveira mixed with Peggy Lee, Chuck Berry and vintage radio samplers. “Dancê Madmoiselle", its track featuring the french MC Tecou, also the theme of Gang's first videoclip. Since them, Manie Gang released other singles, sampling classics of Celly Campello and Zé Keti.
The group has performed in many different venues, from Rio classic nightclubs as Fosfobox and Cave passing through bigger stages as Circo Voador (opening the concert of french singer Zaz), up the Sugar Loaf (at the party Mardi Gras) and open air and street parties around the city.
Manie Gang's DJ set is versatile and fits to different event formats. In its full live performance, the group presents also Circus artists (juggler, clowns, acrobats and contortionists) and Lindy Hop dancers.
Manie Gang is Andrei Yurievitch, Bruno Queiroz, Rodrigo Esper e Vinicius Tesfon.
